    For a long time, I kept a part of my life hidden behind a wall of silence. I am a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, and while it has been 20 years since I escaped that trauma, the journey toward healing is one I navigate every single day. As a mother, my perspective shifted. I began to look at my daughter and realized that my silence wasn't just about my past—it was about our future. I wanted to create a world where we break the culture of shame to protect the next generation.

  • The Origin of the Name

    Between the Reeds Co. was born from the only "happy place" I could find as a child. In moments of terror, I would look out my bedroom window at the feather reeds in the backyard. I would imagine myself lying there, wrapped in the safety of the reeds and the warmth of the sun. When the world feels overwhelming, that is where I go in my mind. This business is my creative outlet to bring that same sense of safety and sunlight to you.
